I’m so invested in these two, it’s remarkable. I keep going back to look at the reunion picture of them almost daily, and I sincerely hope that someday we can hear about everything that led up to and followed that - you’ve created some lovely and compelling characters and done some great world-building, and it’s so stunning to see.

Song (and friends) were mostly the types who would provide entertainment (Song would sing) and company to wealthy people. (It didn’t need to be sexual, but Song was often all for situations that were.) A few months before he met Mansa he got into the lucrative business of running hexed items, and after he met Mansa he abruptly stopped. So he is hard up for cash and he does like being a courtesan so 👀
