Alterations (Thomas sketch)
Added 2021-07-04 23:57:55 +0000 UTCI was asked about other infernal traits that Thomas has. No he does not have a tail - anymore. Horns do grow back but (just like a lizard that loses its tail) slightly smaller each time, which is part of the reason his are so small. But he is only half infernal so they weren’t big to start with.

So I almost hope it was done as a child so he wouldn't miss it. But I also hope he was old enough to have a say in what was going to be done to him. I would assume these things had to happen young enough to be on record at the proper schools to be able to get where he is now.

There probably are doctors that specialize in “de-infernalizing,” but they’d be a mixed bag, like abortionists where abortion is illegal - some skilled & trained, some butchers making $$ desperation.

Are there even doctors who specialise in tail/horn removals? I'm thinking that since infernals are seen as second class, being mixed race would perhaps be seen by some as shameful and the family would hide the evidence, if possible, with surgery. Your world is so immersive Whiteley! If it were in print I'd be the first one at my comic shop on release date.
