So Thomas can do healing too, without needing to learn it. That was very fortunate indeed. I wonder if he had done it before, or if it happened instinctively when he experienced the horror and panic of seeing his friend getting shot? Would you consider drawing that scene at some time?

2021-09-30 00:08:05 +0000 UTCYes he’s got two! They don’t really come up in the story too much except for him mentioning them. They’re much more outgoing than Mansa, it’s much easier for them to fit into social situations too. He’s a bit at odds with them since they’re more conservative.

And Song is going to end up taking whatever the job is, and it’s something Not Good (or that he feels guilty about at least), and that’s why he had the Elon voice in his head on the night of the proposal saying something about Mansa not knowing “what he is” and 😬

2021-09-29 10:49:51 +0000 UTCooooh, his ears dropped so fast 🥺 I believe they had a talk in the past or somehow else decided on all of the things, and the mood and terms changing to suddenly must feel really confusing, wouldn't want to be in this situation on either of the sides for all the money in the world... 😬😔 and it's so easy to say or do smth you will regret later in situation like this, bc basically you are not yourself, not fully anyway, my heart hurts in advance for both of them... ❤️

2021-09-29 10:10:23 +0000 UTCThat’s correct, Song has been very spoiled. He does make a bit of money by performing but not enough to afford more than a studio in Devils Market, he saves it as petty cash, but usually Mansa pays for larger things.

Song is his first for most things, and I’d say his first real kiss since others before would have been a peck here or there with another human he would be socializing with to keep his family in the dark. And he did have a crush on the housekeeper’s daughter (who was an infernal) as young as maybe 11-12.

So it would be perfectly reasonably, in his mind, to have Mansa pay for random stuff, specially since he doesn't know about the reassignment... Just trying to piece together if Song is really selfish and not money-conscious at all or if their circumstances actually turned him that way
