Quick side bar here, but my god it means so much that there are some of you reading my original story. You have no idea how hard it is to try to introduce originals when you’ve become mostly a fanartist, but also how happy it makes me! We’re not just content creators, we’re human beings with our own stories to tell and I’m overjoyed that you’re letting me tell mine.
Of course there will be more GO (I posted 22 pictures/mini comics or the boys last month so obviously they’re not going anywhere) but I’m happy that you let me post my two alongside them!

They are literally the only OC characters I have ever gotten invested in for their story. A couple of others fanartists I support have OC, and I just have no interest at all. I scroll past most of those posts. But not here. I love them Your Honor ❤

There can be a temptation sometimes to project our GO angel and demon on them a little but they are so very much their own and I’m really enjoying their story and the world they live in too.

I love your characters so much, Whiteley. You make my mornings SO MUCH better by posting a panel of them each day. All your content is so rich in details and colours and your love just shines right through. It is so unique and unlike anything I’ve ever read before and I’m such a sucker for deep, original world content and lore. I’m a DM for a D&D homebrew world so I understand and appreciate all the hard work and dedication it takes that goes into making an original world feel authentic and real. So keep it up! I feel confident to say that you inspire so many people with your work and help to break the idea that fanartists are only good for one kind of content ❤️❤️❤️

2021-12-02 10:57:42 +0000 UTCOn the one hand I’m wheezing because I didn’t think about the fact that Song would have to give those to Elon- “crotch money” indeed 😂 On the other hand Song’s little stutter is BREAKING MY HEART because that poor string bean has to still be so scared and just wants to go home with his love and feel safe, but instead he has to deal with this nightmare. Whiteley, it is a testament to how INCREDIBLE of a storyteller (and artist!!!) you are, that all/most of us have fallen so thoroughly in love with Song, Mansa, and your entire cast of original characters. I always do my best to be supportive of fan artist’s original content because I KNOW how intimidating it has to be to share OC when people have originally followed you for fanart, but I would be hard pressed to think of any original darlings that I’ve been as smitten with as yours. Thank you, as always, for trusting us with their stories and joys and sorrows. ❤️
