Maybe they wear it to show the world that they don’t want to be with anyone else, despite the fact that they think “He must have moved on by now”. Or maybe they do still hope that the other one is waiting/ will come back one day. Did they find a good support system during those 4 years? Someone they could talk to? Mansa could potentially have Harmony, Vonya, Thomas and Etty.
