I hate Thomas so much in this story… so here’s the thing. He has to get progressively better in every story which means that he’s gotta be worse in this one than he was in The Courtesan… and he was already pretty bad in The Courtesan! He’s just PAINFULLY insecure and it manifests in a bunch of really terrible ways 😓

His mind (especially in a place like this) has to be on infernals. And I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve had friends that kind of assume every aspect of my personality (or anything in concerned about, anything I’m mulling over) has to do with my sexuality, which is what Tomas is sort of doing.
