I was really intrigued by your discussion of organ transplants as a kind of modern corpse magic (or that it was compared to corpse magic in the beginning). I wonder how primitive our "modern medicine" of transplanting organs (especially with the problems of possible rejection) will seem as science makes advances in creating/growing new organs for patients. It's actually exciting to think how immensely medicine could be improved to the point that future historians will have to explain that our medicine made perfect sense to us at the time and sometimes even worked! I love how these episodes give me so much to think about! Thanks for this awesome discussion!
