Behind the Lore: 133
Added 2020-01-13 09:00:02 +0000 UTC
Hey everyone!
This new episode of Behind the Lore marks a fresh beginning. With a plethora of new projects on my plate (executive producing and all the meetings that come with that), I've passed the hosting duties over to Carl Nellis, long-time Lore researcher and the research lead on Unobscured seasons 1 & 2.
So give Carl a big Patreon welcome, and enjoy this exploration of the research process for Lore Episode 133: Proof Positive!
I found the chit-chat at the beginning of the episode to be dull, I don't really care overly much about the personal life of the two researchers. Can next week's episode go straight to the topic?

Folks, were working through the hiccups of change. Thanks for your feedback, but try to have a bit of grace. None of these team members have a professional set-up, but they have a tremendous amount of experience and insight into the Lore process. Thanks again!

The levels weren't really the issue for me, it was the skipping/dropping. If I'm losing words or even parts of words then I may as well just skip the whole thing.

@AaronMahnke As I mentioned in my tweet, use Auphonic Leveler a great low cost audio leveler that will get both sides level. I use it for my podcasts and even when I leave feedback for podcasts. Even the free Audacity program has some good tools, but Auphonic is better for leveling. It is just hard when I had to turn todays podcast up to 80% to get them to a good level.

I wanted to drop in and say that I'm so happy that Behind the Lore is back and that Carl and Marcet were awesome to hear from. I save Lore episodes so that I can listen to them immediately followed by the Behind the Lore so everything is fresh in my mind.
Thank you for bringing us wonderful stories and sharing the research behind them!

The researchers all record from their own homes, and don't have access to my studio (they are spread out across the country). And they aren't podcasters. So if I can get audio of them talking, that's good enough for me :)

Hopefully the audio issues can be resolved by the next episode. Otherwise, all good!
