Obviously he knows he’s safe from physical harm, but also safe from ridicule and controlling behavior? I know with emotional healing you’re not suddenly cured, you can feel safe one day and anxious the next, but I was wondering if there was a time when Song realized he’d be okay in this relationship??

Most fights (and there’s not a lot) have Song at the root, but he’d be so worried about losing Mansa that the first time it would have to be Mansa that triggered it.

Mansa’s bad at letting things um go unresolved, so most of their problems get worked out pretty thoroughly almost immediately
