Either maroon skin with teal clothing, or teal skin with maroon clothing, so that there's that pop of contrast, for me. So I guess it depends which you're more decided about. If you really want the teal clothing, he should definitely be maroon.

Theoretically I love teal and blue shades a lot more, but here, with the gold freckles, the darker colour of the maroon really makes them stand out. Alternatively, you could make the teal a darker, bluer shade, which would also make his golden freckles stand out - like stars on a midnight sky. :)

However, if you were to change his clothes to contrast the teal skin more, then that’s definitely an option too.

I think it looks very interesting and you could make the color he is have a huge impact on his backstory. 😁 Here’s some reference material if you need it. ⬇️ Blue skin: In 2e, The Planewalker's Handbook, p. 80, blue skin is an option. In 3e, Races of Faerun, pp. 125-126, blue skin is attributed to having night hag heritage. In 5e, Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide, p. 118 mentions this in the Tiefling Variants sidebar ("red or dark blue skin").
