Episode 174: From Scratch (ad-free)

Much like our instinct to set up a home in new places, humans are good at creating everything else we might need. And that includes folklore. But if even half of the stories that have been born in this one town are true, there’s a lot to be afraid of.

I am SO glad you talked about Wisconsin! While I'm sure there could be a whole series on Wisconsin hauntings, I really loved these stories that I never knew. I grew up in Fond du Lac. We have an Octagon House and lots of stories of the underground railroad. As kids, we saw a lot of things that can not be explained. The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee and the Opera House in Oshkosh are also super haunted and have some great stories. Thank you for talking about my home state. I always feel like it's overlooked but has a lot to talk about!
