This is definitely rough but I think it’s important to the story that you know where Song’s head is at when he leaves. I don’t want to get into Patch Job too much but at least the last physical attack by Elon was unexpected and not drawn out. This experience should be something that shakes him to the point of believing that leaving is the only decision he can make, it has to destabilize. Once again the loss of autonomy in this page could definitely be triggering so please stay safe 💕
One more page of Elon and then we’re done for a while, hold out my gremlins!

The light on the edge of their profiles? Makes it so real! You also really captured the crazed anger and power combo in Elon’s face and Song’s terror.

Though ohhh, I wish he could leave any word for Mansa, any explanation...! Any warning, come to that!! (I'd ask if he does or if it's jsut the ring and nothing else but I'm sure you'll tell us soon :) ) Actually, what does Mansa know about Elon, at this point? Anything? He knows Song had an absuve ex but does he know any other details at all? This panel is incredibly powerful. Song's helplessness and fear, Elon's crazed manipulative smirk. Aughghghghghghghghgh.

OUT YA FUCKIN' MOUTH!!" 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 my second thought was: poor song, pushed to his breaking point with all this new context surrounding why he left... everything he does, even if it's backwards and twisted by pain, is in motivation to help and protect mansa. they're both so self-sacrificing when it's for the other, and that makes song's "choice" to leave even more painful for them both

2022-08-28 10:40:26 +0000 UTCthe smile on Elon's face is so foul, gives me SO much emotions and hatered towards him 🤬 him using Mansa and their relationship against Song like this is a perfectly understandable move for him, cornered manipulative bastard that he is, and it was to be expected, but damn, does it make me mad and wanting to throw things at him 😤🤬 and Song looking so absolutely broken and lost and frightened, oh dear 😔 the reason for him leaving Mansa very fast, without a note or anything is so much clearer now, wanting to protect him with everything Song has, being put into position with no other sensible option he could think of rn, bc rationality can't be achieved in situation like this... oh darlings, it's absolutely heartbreaking 💔 and now I'm thinking that if it is Ghost looking through that door and maybe being able to hear smth or at least see properly, now they might come to an understanding that Song was not a particularly willing participant in the whole Elon's smuggling operation 🤔👀
