Added 2022-06-23 14:34:07 +0000 UTCDND stuff incoming because you wanted to meet my new boy! This is Alister Haxton, a Tiefling Artificer! He’s very Stede like because I just wanted to be a lovable goofball who makes HORRIBLE decisions.
So here’s Haxton, his (ex)wife Elenor, and their baby Annie, about 8 years before the start of our campaign. He’s a tiefling who uses the feat“devil in plain sight” to pose as human because his family is very religious (oh nooo queer symbolism) and she didn’t know until their baby was born with horns and teal skin and he had to come clean. He sort of let her take the fall after that with people assuming she cheated on him until it was too much pressure and they separated.
Hopefully he can grow a little on this journey because it was a diiiiiick move 🙃

But of course it wasn't that. :D Now, this tiefling dad doesn't look like a tiefling, but he has elf ears. Does he disguise as an elf? Can he kinda shapeshift? A tiefling is half devil, but the other half can both be human or elven, can't it? Is this tiefling half elf, half devil? And ofcourse the Elon/Stede hairstyle is strong with this one..... :D

Question: his ears are still different... is that something humans can have sometimes in this world due to recessive mixed genes? Ex: my close friend, who is latino, comes from a very mayan-featured family, yet he looks completely European (blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin, freckles, etc) because he just happened to inherit all the genes from one great great grandfather from switzerland. His dad even asked for a dna test (sad!) and of course it came back positive. Did people think Alister was basically human enough to count?
