We have some technical classes at some of our high schools but nothing where we have to specialize quite that much - at least not in my area.

2022-08-17 13:15:22 +0000 UTCTHIS is what I think about SO MUCH... in my country we mostly do not choose highschools which are oriented in any way, nost of schools are general for whole 11 years, but some kids who are considered "bright" (which is another messed up thing, tbh, and topic for a whole other discussion) are being put into some-field-oriented schools by the age of 10 or 12, and then having to choose your whole carier path by the age of 17 when choosing university major for the next 4-6 years (most of kids are forced by their parents into then), this is so messy and life altering and a huge topic in my own therapy now 😬

2022-08-17 13:13:25 +0000 UTCOk, this is actually making me consider many other things Kids are forced to... our education system is "generic" only through elementary school. By age 11/12, we gotta decide which high school to go to and most are already career oriented. If you miscalculate (or your parents choose for you, like my case) you waste 5 years of your education in a field you are not interested in. I went into accounting school at age 12 only to switch to law and medicine when I got to college, but I was already so behind in those fields....

They value conjuring but since their right to conjure has been taken away they really don’t have a way to practice anymore
