2022-10-26 21:04:00 +0000 UTCto add to your adorable happy scenarios: i would kill to see the first time mansa happy-flaps around song. something really good and exciting happens, and he just can't contain his joy - it has to manifest physically. i'd imagine it's maybe even accidental the first time it happens, and mansa doesn't initially realize he's doing it (he isn't used to being safe enough to not mask, especially thanks to his family, but he does around song because he *does* feel safe - even if it's subconsciously). song immediately finds it endearing and joins in, in his own way (i imagine song dances around a bit to stim or kicks his legs; he's got big adhd energy, lol). seeing them both share joy that way would be so precious (as an autistic with adhd and also as someone who happy-flaps when experiencing excitement or Big happiness, i know it would make me even happier if the person i'm with started genuinely stimming too) 🥺💚 as a side note, it does suck to struggle and not know why. i was (self)diagnosed in my early 20's with autism, and (professionally)diagnosed with adhd just a couple years ago (i'm 31 now). but it's been such a huge relief to have answers now, even if i found them later in life than others, and i have coping mechanisms now that help a lot 😊

He can’t keep getting away with it 😭😭 Since this is so upsetting I will tell everyone about a two happy scenarios I made up in my head in order to comfort me through this valley of misery. 1) Mansa offhandedly mentioned to Song that he likes oranges. So Song bought some as a surprise. But Mansa never touched them with Song around because (thanks to his siblings) he’s afraid of being made fun of for not liking the texture of orange peel. But one day he got up early because he craved one. He tried peeling it but struggled and eventually Song caught him and asked what’s wrong. Mansa was very embarrassed and tells Song he can’t stand the texture of orange peel and how stupid it is he didn’t grow out of it. But Song being totally amazing just accepts it and peels oranges for Mansa from this point forward. 2) To add on to this, because his parents and siblings sound like major assholes I can imagine Mansa tends to mask a lot in general. But because Song is so sweet and accepting Mansa eventually is comfortable stimming around Song. Also is Autism-Spectrum-Disorder a an official diagnosis in this universe? Or does it come much later? Because I imagine it must suck struggling with certain things and not knowing why.
