OK this is hilarious to me because that's the 'joke' gift my husband got for me since we couldn't travel to Scotland for our 20th anniversary this year! He has definitely bowed a few times and It makes me laugh every time!! Definitely want to see this fic!!

The lingering scent was still there, herbs, lavender and the leaves of old books. In just a few hours, the guards would change but if he was quick, he would have a few hours till the first light of sunrise kissed the sky with his love, the brightest star in his sky with flaxen curls and those eyes like the summer sky and a mind as sharp as the most deadly in his armoury. He quickened his step to the base of the spiral staircase and started to ascend. At the top, a light shone under the door….he pushed it open with a creak, mouth already quirking up in a happy smile. “There you are dear! Don’t tarry by the door, you’ll get even colder! Come here and I’ll warm you up.” Well, something to whet the appetite anyway
