Version 2 Beta 1.6.6 - The Church of Skyrim & The Moot of Jarls

The latest beta release brings some of the biggest systems yet to Become High King of Skyrim – The Next Generation. From the throne to the forge, every corner of your rule just got deeper.

✅ New Council Roles –

☩ The High Priest of Skyrim
Appoint Brother Arthorian as your court’s spiritual advisor and unlock a wide-reaching Faith System, including:

• Faith levels tracked per Hold

• Royal decrees with religious impact (tithes, conversions, etc.)

• Church of Skyrim takeovers in select cities

• Hireable Faith Envoys, Appointed Priests, and Grand Inquisitors

• Player Sculptures can now be commissioned in Highreach and even placed in Skyrim’s cities once the Church is established via Appointed Priests.

⚒ The Royal Blacksmith
Brodran now serves as Skyrim’s official royal smith, offering a quest to retrieve Voidheart Sapphires from Blackreach to craft the Ring of Royal Union and an upgrade quest for the Nord Steel armor set. More features will be added to Brodran in a future release.

✅ Full Beginning Rework – The entire path to power has been restructured. You can now ascend the throne via citizen support (40 supporters) or a successful Moot of the Jarls. Marriage is no longer required, and every path has been polished for better pacing and presentation. The Coronation Ceremony is now an immersive, fully integrated scene.

✅ Royal Spouse System Rewritten – Marriage to Elisif or Ulfric has been rebuilt from the ground up. The player now selects their spouse after becoming ruler, gains functional spouse features (greetings, gifts, political events), and can even ring the new Summoning Bell in Highreach to summon their spouse directly.

✅ Hold Court with Nobles, Councilors & Jarls – A full court system has been added. You'll receive nobles and advisors requesting favors, delivering updates, or asking for intervention. Most excitingly, Jarls are now fully functional as political agents: they will submit petitions, offer hold reports, and sometimes even bring gifts to the Crown.

✅ Church of Skyrim Expansion – You can now commission sculptures of yourself in Highreach and, with the right decrees, place statues in Skyrim cities through your Appointed Priests.

✅ Map, Marker & Navigation Overhauls – Full navmesh rebuilds, updated quest markers, and a cleaner worldmap integration ensure Highreach behaves more like a vanilla hold. The mod is now flagged as an ESM, and requires a clean save.

✅ Major Bug Fixes – This update squashes dozens of issues, including alias fills, property linking, quest startup problems, The King's Ledger bugs, and more.

This update is another cornerstone in the foundation for the royal governance sim we’re building. If you thought the crown came with just gold and glory — now you'll find it comes with petitions, policies, sermons, and the royal ball and chain too.

Download the main file and the hotfix and overwrite all with the hotfix.
