I wouldn’t cancel my membership but I do really enjoy hearing from and getting to know the team. I live in Boston and hope to one day run into the brilliant Boston based team member. If you know you know!

2024-02-12 15:15:48 +0000 UTCI really enjoy Behind the Lore. I wouldn't end my membership because I like early & add free episodes, but the stories of how the sausage is made are FANTASTIC. Plus, it's nice getting to hear from your team.

2024-02-09 16:47:19 +0000 UTCBehind the lore isn't why I pay, but it has been interesting for the names that help create each episode become more than names. To hear that this is more than a job, that they have a passion and interest in this field. Maybe that's just me. I found lore at the start of the pandemic and my kids and I would listen to an episode or two every morning. My youngest daughter is 17, she loves it so much, she'll relisten to episodes throughout the week still. My youngest is 11, he never got as into it, but he does keep an eye out for things that remind him of something we heard on here to share with me and his sisters. The older three girls don't listen now, but those two occasionally listen to behind the lore, and its made them realize that each episode is a lot bigger than it seems, ie more work and time. And they've been able to relate it to some of the skills they're learning at school and realize they might be more useful than they thought. So I see benefits to it, but its still not why I pay.

2024-02-09 10:38:23 +0000 UTCYou should have access to all of the content on here. If you are having trouble accessing posts, reach out to Patreon to find out what the issue is.

2024-02-08 11:55:21 +0000 UTCNgl I haven't listened to it but I feel like getting patron in order to get listeners on here all the benefits they pay for is a great start (half the lore episodes aren't on here and I don't have access to like 70% of the content on here even with my paid subscription)

2024-02-08 04:52:04 +0000 UTC"Big time"? I'm really sorry to hear that. The final story of each episode (the one after the ads) is not intended to be the next chapter in the story so far. It's an epilogue, a bonus. So the brief, 20-second part where I recap the episode's topic and explain why there's one more story is specifically designed to help listeners transition into it. It's the same music, the same voice, and the same pacing. Nothing about it is disruptive, and for those who need the guidance it is actually helpful.

2024-02-07 11:43:28 +0000 UTCI wouldn’t cancel my membership but I do really enjoy the “behind” episodes and would miss them if they went away.

2024-02-07 09:47:08 +0000 UTCNever listened to it to be honest. I also think the folks who pay shouldn’t have to listen to the same Lore ad break every episode. Ruins the flow of the show. Big time.

2024-02-07 05:50:38 +0000 UTCHi Aaron, I have really enjoyed getting to “know” your team throughout the episodes. I think these types of parasocial relationships do add value to the Lore and Lore Bits. That said, I am sure the recording and editing time (probably 2x the actual episode length) is not an insignificant expense. So I fully appreciate the need to suspend, reduce frequency, or even monetize through public distribution. Do consider that the episodes may have helped your team find their “voice” and possibly more confidence. Regardless, keep up the great work across all of Grim and Mild. Thank you!

2024-02-07 02:28:49 +0000 UTCI would not cancel but I would be bummed for sure

2024-02-07 00:54:21 +0000 UTCAs others have said, I'd keep my membership, but I'd be sad it went away. I love getting to hear more about the research and the behind-the-scenes details.

2024-02-06 22:44:29 +0000 UTCAny Lore is good Lore! I appreciate the variety of shows you produce and will leave it to your creative genius to come up with a great plan.

2024-02-06 21:29:36 +0000 UTCI really like Behind The Lore, and I'm ok with monthly. If that's not possible, it would be great to hear how a writers workroom (as you plan the season) would go, or even some behind the scenes for other podcasts like Bridgewater, Consumed, Haunted Road, etc. It may be a good way to get Lore listeners interested in your other projects.

2024-02-06 21:05:56 +0000 UTCNo problem either way, I'll be here. Monthly would be okay.

2024-02-06 20:46:09 +0000 UTCSame for me. I’d maintain my patronage but would be sad it went away. I love listening to everyone chat and feel like I’m having a conversation with friends. (Seriously, I love listening to Ali giggle with Cass and GennaRose. I’ve had similar conversations with friends.)

2024-02-06 20:06:29 +0000 UTCNeed a third choice! I do enjoy hearing about the research and the additional notes that didn't make it, but no way would I cancel!

2024-02-06 19:56:47 +0000 UTCI would maintain my membership (love having ad-free episodes and Lore Bites) but I really love getting to hear from the rest of the team and learning more about the research behind each episode.

2024-02-06 19:54:34 +0000 UTCI totally wish that I could do All The Things™, but those days are long behind me.

2024-02-06 19:52:08 +0000 UTCMy interest in them died when you stopped being the host. The hosts since are too quick to comment about their own personal lives/interests/what they did last vacation instead of the story topic, and often I don't learn anything new about the topic. I just mark them all "listened to" and move on to the lore bites.

2024-02-06 19:42:27 +0000 UTCI love Ali’s chats with GennaRose and Cassandra. They’re kinda free form, very fun. The others, meh.

2024-02-06 19:42:02 +0000 UTCI would maintain my membership but I would be sad.

2024-02-06 19:40:16 +0000 UTCI'd be fine with this personally. I love the extras and learning how research is done since I love researching topics like these myself and have been sent down many rabbit holes due to Lore. I have been meaning to say hi anyways, so hi xD
Kitty
2024-02-06 19:36:01 +0000 UTCI love Behind the Lore! Please keep it! It's lovely to learn more about the stories and to get to know the researchers. I love BtL as much as I love Lore!

2024-02-06 19:33:29 +0000 UTCMaybe a good compromise could be a monthly show, rather than a weekly one, recapping the episodes from the previous month.

2024-02-06 19:32:14 +0000 UTCI love behind the Lore. But if it must go I shall live.

2024-02-06 19:31:19 +0000 UTCAs a student, I really enjoy being able to hear about the research that went behind creating the (incredible) main show

2024-02-06 19:30:25 +0000 UTCI would actually be happier if it was gone! I’ve listened to a few but to me it feels like a completely different podcast and not really what I’m looking for.
