I definitely jumped when I heard that starting sentence! There were literally just strange booms in northern Utah (though not as northern as Kaysville).. After all the confusion, it was apparently scheduled detonations of expired munitions, but if they were scheduled, why not tell us ahead of time 🤔 (it's a local conspiracy). Jokes aside, the depot out in the west desert does this a few times a year. It was just really BOOM this time.
