Everything messy and ugly in my life came to a head yesterday. I cried for a long time, but eventually I ran out of tears, I thought logically, and this morning I am feeling better than I have in literal months. And all I can say to you gremlins is thank you. Thank you for being there for me even when you didn’t have all the information, you supported me when my art got slow and you didn’t pressure me to do anything I wasn’t up to do. I can’t believe I get to work with you all and share my stories with such a wonderful and understanding audience!
I will have good days and bad days but it’s important to know (because I know you worry) that this comic does not burn me out. It energizes me so much to create original work AND have people who love my characters. In the six months that this has been building I never considered stopping this project, it’s my lifeline, it keeps me tethered to what I want and it gives me a clear goal. Sure some days are harder than others! Sure some hands just don’t looking like f*cking hands when I’m drawing! But I’m here and the fact that you’re here too? Man I couldn’t be any luckier. I truly mean that!

You are such a talented artist and story teller. None of us want to see you burn out from pushing yourself to turn out content. Everyone needs a minute for themselves, and a good hard messy cry can really take it out of you, but can also be just what you need to break the floodgates when you've been building up and repressing stress or emotional "stuff" I wish you all the best

Just know we are always here, we love you, and we're not your employers. We're your pocket friends. We would rather you be inspired and happy, that's the type of art we're supporting. One where you're allowed to slow down or take breaks or do whatever you need to do for your own health. ❤️
