They're confirming they knows Song, that someone *is* training Infernals, that Song is associated with this organization even if not teaching himself, that Raine is similarily associated with this organization, that there are different types of castors (probably not common knowledge among humans), and that Song, with all the power Mansa just witnessed, would still be considered a disaster.... that's a lot food for thought for our judge's brain.

I wonder, from an earlier panel, would Mansa being able to pronounce Song’s surname correctly be surprising to Raine, or signal anything to him about Mansa and his views on/relationship to infernals? If the presiding attitude in human society on infernal “ethnic names” is anything like ours, then maybe Raine would be used to humans butchering it or not trying at all. If Mansa can say Song’s name properly, would that be a clue that Mansa may be an ally, or at least knows Song very well? Oooh, has Mansa learned to speak or read any infernal at all in the years they were together?

Aw cathartic caster Song, it fits that magic would spill over and out in high strung moments for our beloved bean 🥺❤️ Though it’s easy to see why that wouldn’t be ideal teacher material.
