2023-08-11 14:12:45 +0000 UTCI started doing it years ago when I was drawing a character that I wanted to have a sing-songy voice, he had a little “~” at the end of the tail. But I really didn’t start using it how I do now until jazz baby, giving Aziraphale curly tails when he was high. And it’s become a much bigger part of my comics language since I started working on Mansong. I don’t know that I learned it for anywhere specific, but I’m sure there are lots of other people who do it!

It does an incredible job of illustrating Mansa's transition from flirty to shocked and horrified. Amazing technique! Is that something you came up with yourself or learned elsewhere?
