Progress - w4 / December

So DDO is out and I am currently with my parents for the holidays. I hope you are having a good time as well!
DDO was an interesting project, it definitely made me optimize my workflow even more, the constant pressure of having to create a character and a short video every month - but I guess I was doing that before as well, maybe on a lesser scope.
However due to the constant time pressure I didn't have much time (or maybe willpower?) to do more story - talking, changing positions etc.
It might surprise you, but I don't consider myself a very good animator. Yeah I think I can knock out some sex poses, but I feel like I have no idea what I am doing when I try to do anything 'more'.
The answer to that is obviously more practice, but good, proper practice is hard and also will probably mean I will fail, or at least not deliver the standard I would consider good enough.
I think I am going to make few smaller animations right now, I want to update my rigs and tools anyway, so it would be a great way to test and improve those and most importantly challenge myself.
Another interesting option would be to hire an animator, like actual proper one and have them do the really hard stuff, while I focus on the rest of the production and maybe my improvement. I am definitely exploring this, I put out some feelers but so far haven't found anyone on the skill level I would require.
I am now realizing that I am sounding kinda negative and I guess that's true. I think I made some decent work this year but it could have been a lot better.

What you have written, sounds almost like imposter syndrome (no, not the one from Among Us) to me and couldn't be further from the truth. You are an amazing artist! Not only are your animations one of the best ones out there, the humor and story in them is unique. What further impressed me, is how you stuck to your schedule and kept your promise to your patreons. So, I hope you can give yourself a break and be proud of what you've accomplished. Despite what you might think about yourself as an animator, I definitively think your are among the best inhere. I've probably said it before, but I can't wait to hear about your next story driven project, once you decide to do one of those again. Story is to me one of the places where animation beats real people every time. Enjoy your holiday!
