Ulysses is a young French tourist who came to Beach City to spend a quiet vacation, far from the hustle and bustle of his daily life.
His arrival didn’t go unnoticed by Steven, who was always eager to meet new faces, especially those from far away. The two quickly became friends.

When Steven asked where he was planning to stay, Ulysses, a little embarrassed, admitted that he hadn’t saved enough money for proper accommodation. He intended to sleep under the stars during his stay.

Moved by his story, Steven felt a sudden sense of duty: he had to find a place for his new friend to stay. He immediately thought of Peridot and Lapis Lazuli. With a bit of luck, there might be room for Ulysses, and they would surely agree if Steven asked on his behalf.

Peridot happily accepted. She was thrilled to meet a "male specimen" who, in her opinion, resembled the heroes from the shows she loved.
Lapis, more reserved and naturally wary, found herself oddly intrigued… perhaps even drawn to this newcomer.

It didn’t take long for the two of them to grow closer. Steven and Peridot, watching from afar, observed their budding connection with amused interest.

Then one evening, Lapis took a leap forward. She officially invited Ulysses on a one-on-one date: a moonlit walk on the beach… and not just any moonlit night. That evening was set to host a lunar eclipse — the very first Lapis would ever witness.

Ulysses accepted without hesitation, much to the delight of their two little spies.
As night fell, the two walked side by side, barefoot on the cool sand, gazing up at the silver-lit sky.

But as the eclipse reached its peak, Lapis felt something strange within her. Before she could react, a wave of energy surged through her, completely overwhelming her…

She grew. More and more. Until she reached an incredible — and unexpected — size.

When it finally stopped, she stood over fifteen meters tall.
And in her open hand, Ulysses looked absolutely tiny…
