Double revenge

Looking at my reflection in the mirror, I still could not believe that I was stuck like this.

Although in the beginning the idea of ​​a revenge was a great idea after I found this body swap spell. When a random customer at the diner where I worked as a dishwasher left that little scrap of paper on a table, i only picked it up because I thought there might be a tip under it or something like that. What I found written on it, however, was actually a spell that could supposedly swap two people's bodies!

Why I would believe that such a thing could work? Well, I didn't, to be honest. But the spell onlyrequired saying a simple little incantation, so I didn't see the harm in trying it, either. And I knew exactly who to cast the spell on.

The owner of the diner was the epitome of a rich sleezebag. His name was Cliff O'Brien, and he owned a number of other establishments around town, and treated just about everybody like dirt ... especially his employees! He was also young, only a few years older than me in fact, and pretty darn good looking.

I felt I could be a better him than, well, him!

At first things actually went exactly as planned. I thought of him and recited the incantation, and next thing I knew I was in his office making out with Claire. Claire was a forty-year-old woman who worked at the diner and who Mr. O'Brien force to do certain "favors" for him in exchange for her continued employment. She was in an early pregnancy with Cliff, but hadn't told him so yet. I realized this only later ... 

At that moment when i was in Cliff's body, I broke the kiss and told Claire we were done, and she rushed out of the room without requiring much in the way of convincing. I was just beginning to plot what I would do with my new body and life when something went really, really wrong.

Apparently the boss in my body dropped the scrap of paper in his panic after finding himself in my body, and Claire found it. She decitded to try it out herself, and decided to use it on the man who tortured her ever since she started working at the diner, threatening her not only with firing, but also that he would ruin her reputation and that no one would take her to another job in this city  ...

In a few hours I found myself in Claire's body! While standing there in a stupor, the new Cliffrushed out of his office and just about tackled me! He pulled the paper out of my hand and immediately ripped it to shreds! He then began laying into me, explaining in graphic detail how he would make my life hell just like "I" had made his life hell. I tried to explain that I wasn't really Mr. O'Brien, but i couldn't get a word in edgewise! The man before me was simply too busy explaining to me that I'd get to see what it was like to be a single pregnant mature women struggling to get by while also getting to be his own, personal whore ...

When the new Mr. O'Brien stormed off after his tirade, all I could do was stand there in shock. My revenge had backfired when l ended up on the wrong end of Claire's own vengeance. I figured there was probably a lesson in there somewhere, but frankly, I was too wrapped up in the fact that I was probably stuck as a forty year old woman to find it!
