I've been seeing Mogy64 and Chips make some really nice traditional pieces and it's given me the push to try it again myself. I use to do nothing but inking and painting before I stepped into college and the digital world. I never looked back for many reasons but I'm glad my two friends inspired me to make an attempt again.
I started just by sketching Lim's chibi head and it was crazy how alien it felt. Like it doesn't feel normal to me at all drawing with a pencil, on paper and on a flat surface. I tried not to pay it too much mind and started inking as soon as I was happy with it. Once I finished I thought about continuing the body but I didn't want to use the pencil anymore. It felt more natural to draw with the pen. Immediately threw caution to the wind and just freehanded everything else you see in this page. Can definitely see where I struggled but I did this all with a smile on my face. There's just something really nice about running out of ink dipping and continuing the process. My only concern at the moment is not being sure about the sketchbook I got. The paper doesn't have any texture to it really so I'm concerned how it'll handle painting.
I'm looking forward to the next time I mess around with it and hope to make something real cool by the end of the year. Thank you again everyone for supporting me. This wouldn't be possible without all of you.
