Sorry everyone, I know I'm taking longer than usual to release version 0.7, and this is making many of you anxious to see what's new. So I decided to come here and show some of the new things that will be included and to explain the delay.
First of all, I'm dealing with anxiety issues. It's not because of the project or anything like that; I've always had these problems and never sought proper treatment. However, I had a severe episode a few weeks ago, so I decided to start taking care of my mental health. I'm receiving psychological support and I'm improving, so please don't worry. And if anyone reading this can relate to what I'm going through, know that you're not alone, and that everything will pass. Try to stay calm and seek help.
Now let's talk about the update. A lot of things will change, so I'll try to be brief about each one.
1. Ship Navigation System:
Now, voyages will take time to complete. The longer the distance, the more time it will take. This will pave the way for a future ship upgrade system that I plan to implement, where you’ll be able to improve some stats of your current ship.
2. Hunting System:
The hunting system will change again. I wasn’t very happy with how hunts were conducted in the last update, so I decided to make it a bit more interactive. You’ll be able to explore a small area and find the enemies you want to defeat. At first, you won’t see the enemies or have any information about them, but there’s a skill in the passive skill tree that improves your hunting abilities (Bounties will also need to be hunted).
3. Weight System:
Items have weight, and you can only carry what you can handle. This is another aspect that ties into the ship upgrade system I’m planning. Essentially, each item has a weight, and if you exceed the maximum load your ship or you can carry, you’ll become overburdened, which will significantly slow down sea voyages.
4. Ship Supplies:
Traveling on the high seas requires resources, which is obvious, so remember to stock up on supplies before leaving each island. Supplies are used to maintain the crew’s morale over the days. Each day, one supply will be consumed per crew member, including yourself. If you don’t have enough supplies for everyone, the girls' levels will decrease, and you won’t recover health when sleeping on the ship.
We'll also have new things like:
Improved inventory
Sort cards in the compendium and items in shops.
Enhanced healing screen.
The option to skip dialogues now hides the girls' animations to improve the game's performance.
We'll also have new cards, ten in total. Some of them will help with improving ship speed and cargo capacity, so you can start upgrading your ship right away.
As for the quests, we won’t have any main quests in this update. However, I will bring side quests. My plan was to include three side quests, but since a lot of time has passed and I’m still not fully recovered, I’ll take it easy and only include one side quest. I apologize for this, but in the next update, I’ll focus solely on content to make up for it.
