Some Insider News
Added 2020-01-31 20:22:59 +0000 UTCSo, it has been a year since I picked up Demon Sword Maiden, and half a year since we started this Project Gender Bender. I thought maybe it is about time I reveal to you all about the expenses and earnings I've incurred over the past month as a show of good faith that I've really been putting your money into good use.
First off, the total balance we get from all three Patreon pages amount to $1368/month as of 31st January 2020.
- SilvaLau - $698
- Musubii - $552
- Nomad - $114
Next, our current expenses are as follow:
Demon Sword Maiden
- Translator: Snoring Dragon
- Patreon page: SilvaLau
- 20 chapters monthly at the rate of $20/chapter (will increase to $25 after three months)
- $400/month ($500/month after probation)
Dragon Princess
- Translator: Nexus
- Patreon page: SilvaLau
- 10 chapters monthly at the rate of $17/chapter
- $170/month
Another World
- Translator: Musubii
- Patreon page: Musubii
- 10 chapters monthly at the rate of $20/chapter
- $200/month
Life with a Tail
- Translator: Lyly
- Patreon page: Musubii
- 10 chapters monthly at the rate of $17/chapter
- $170/month
Knight & Elf
- Translator: Nomad
- Patreon page: Nomad
- 15 chapters monthly at the rate of $13.33/chapter
- $200/month
Hero's Daughter
- Translator: Aurum
- Patreon page: Nomad
- 10 chapters monthly at the rate of $20/chapter
- $200/month
Now then, with that out of the way, let the calculation begins.
SilvaLau: 698 - 400 - 170 = $128 remaining
Musubii: 552 - 200 - 170 = $182 remaining
Nomad: 114 - 200 - 200 = $286 deficit
Remaining Amount: 128 + 182 - 286 = $24
So from that, you can see after I've paid all the translators, I will only have $24 remaining for myself. And that's not including the motivational bonus I am paying them in case they submitted the chapters early. And after three months, if I have ascertained the Snoring Dragon is capable of doing Demon Sword Maiden by himself, then his payment will be raised to $25/chapter and we will have a $124 deficit with the current funding. The deficit will then be covered by the ad revenues.
And on topic of ad revenues, we are earning $350~$450 per month (it can reach up to $600 at the month of October to December), but after deducting the revenue share with the other Publishers on Re:Library, we are actually only earning about $50~$100 per month. (it can get up to $200 during the last quarter of the year).
As you can see, although Re:Library is earning a lot, we have just as many expenses and is barely scraping by on a thin line. I hope this post has helped to shed some light on the workings of Re:Library.
And last but not least, thank you all for your support. This wouldn't have been possible with just me and the earnings from ad revenues alone. Honestly, I can't thank you all enough for building this dream along with me.

Aye, and I appreciate your support all the same. *hugs*
