Hey everyone!
This week I focused a lot on improving my 3D modeling skills. I started taking a Blender course, and I’m slowly getting more comfortable with the 3D world. My goal is to keep growing in this area so I can create even more original assets for the game without depending on third-party models.

It’s been really fun to dive deeper into modeling, materials, and animation workflows. I still have a lot to learn, but I’ve already been able to apply some of what I learned directly into Booty Hunter.

With the new knowledge I’ve been gaining, I started creating a new animated main menu for the game!
It’s not completely finished yet, but you can already get an idea of how it’s going to look.
Here’s the concept:
Each menu option will feature a different crewmate.
If the player hasn’t unlocked that character in the campaign yet, their spot will show only a silhouette instead of the full image.
It’s a small change on paper, but I think it’ll add a lot of charm and personality to the game right from the title screen.


As for the ongoing animation reworks, I managed to finish two more this week.
It’s been slow but steady progress — each rework takes time, but they’re coming together nicely and looking much better than before.
For next week, I’ll keep:
Learning and experimenting with 3D modeling in Blender
Continuing progress on the main menu animation
Finishing the remaining animation reworks for version 0.11
