This video starts by documenting my projects for Warhammer Fest/Golden Demon EU in August.
The second part shows one of the pieces I probably will bring along as part of a diorama. I consider it a warm-up piece, something that tries something new, that I never did, something that gets the creativity going and also forces me to push my painting. Especially when it comes to pieces that are going to competitions where you only have first, second and third place. More on that in the Video!
When you watch the video, let me know if you want to see additional videos on how I paint the red on different shapes (helmet, shoulder pad), or if you feel like this video shows everything you need to know!
I am a bit delayed with the videos and there is a simple reason: I always try to push the quality of my footage and I recorded all of this in a higher bitrate and a format that captures quality better as well. But all of this ultimately led to render times of 15+ hours and a couple of failed render attempts, so I had to re-convert the input and I lost about 4 days that I wanted to spend filming on this. Additionally my capture card died unexpectedly and I lost the whole weekend too.
The good news is, a replacement arrives on monday and I will film 2 more videos on my other GD projects and upload them asap.
Thanks for your support and enjoy the video!
