My Decision for the New Series

So in my last update, I mentioned that both Commoner Villainess and Automata Maid would be ending soon and that there are currently no plans to pick up new novels to replace them for the time being, mainly due to the lack of available translators.

I also stated that I might enlist Mab to pick up the proverbial torch for a new series now that a slot has opened. However, after noticing the increasing number of cancellations these past few weeks, it seems that might not be feasible at the moment. In fact, this downward trend has been ongoing for the past six months. The number of cancellations is currently higher than the number of new subscribers, and as a result, we are barely breaking even despite lowering the output.

With that in mind, we can’t hire Mab to translate a new series right now, as it would put us in the red. That’s why I’ve decided it’s time for me to step in and translate the new series myself. At the very least, if I handle the translation personally, I won’t have to worry about the funds needed to pay translators. If my work manages to attract enough subscribers, we might be able to raise more funds and consider another series down the line.

After reviewing our current data, Reborn as a Transcendent and Destiny Unchain Online remain among the most viewed novels on the site and also boast some of the highest subscriber counts on Patreon. This suggests that there is indeed interest in video game-themed novels, so I plan to pick up a recommended title, Online Game: Twin Souls.

Despite my busy schedule, if I dedicate an extra 30 minutes to an hour each day after handling all my urgent tasks, I’m hoping I can at least complete 10 chapters per month.
