Added 2024-11-25 20:25:24 +0000 UTCThis summer I adopted a kitten. I named him Robert. He's 7 months old now, so he's getting long and tall, but still so full of energy. If you've had cats before, none of this is new. You know. I don't gotta tell you how fun kittens are, right?
But Robert does something that I've never experienced with a cat before, and honestly, I don't even see it in many dogs. And that is: Robert likes to play fetch.
He has this grubby little orange puffball that he likes to bat around. A few months back, I'm sitting on the living room floor watching a movie and he walked up to me with the ball in his mouth and dropped it in my lap. I chucked it, and he chased it, picked it up and brought it back. And now it's a nightly game.
So I recorded him doing it recently, and thought I'd share it with you here, because it's Thanksgiving week, and you possibly want a distraction from thinking about family and travel.

He’ll play fetch with a corduroy catnip mouse but there’s a 50% chance he’ll bring it back 😂 He also plays catch with himself with a cloth catnip banana, it’s fantastic

2024-11-25 21:07:23 +0000 UTCMy Luna(tic) plays fetch with herself. She will carry a dingleball up to the top of the stairs and let it go, then she chases it down the stairs and does the whole thing again multiple times. It’s “mostly cute” because it’s not cute at 2am.

My first cat I ever had was OBSESSED with playing fetch with those. He’d steal them from wherever he could find them and bring them to us to chuck across the room for him 😂
