In recent games, the Kimono Girls were tasked with summoning the legendary pokémon Lugia and Ho-oh, and so I thought it would be cute if they had to swap with Erika and Valerie so that the powerful pokémon would appear before them.
Also, I'm aware that Erika wears a yukata, not a kimono, but I had to swap Ethan with someone, right?
