Celebrimbor, Fingon, and some kissy Critical Role =D

Here's the next batch of the commissions: Celebrimbor and Fingon! I hope the colouring will go well - I have a new extremely irritating blind spot in my left eye which keeps making me think I forgot to draw a line that's already there. The spots do recede with time, to be replaced by new ones. It's irritating as hell but no longer terrifying. You get used to a lot of weird stuff.

Here's the sketch of the new Art Nouveau-like Critical Role piece: Vax and Gilmore. Such a cute pair. It's almost a pity it never went any further.

For those of you who enjoy watching the clips from the stream: Here is Gilmore's Glorious entrance in the aptly-named episode "Shopping and shipping". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4tjssfei5E&t=7403s

I love the story of how the romance between Vax and NPC shopkeeper Gilmore started (it was pre-stream, unfortunately): Vax' sister Vex had unsuccessfully tried to haggle down a price for magic items with Gilmore, and when Vax tried to pick up where she left off, he rolled a natural 20, causing Gilmore to fall in love with him. Their relationship went on to be heavily platonic after Vax hooked up with Keyleth instead (from both sides). =D

Your lineart is, as always, delicious to look at all on its own, as well as pieces that become fully coloured later. Celebrimbor's facial expression is fantastic.

I actually find myself completely splitting my reception of Tolkien (and Critical Role has helped with that). The 21st century person that I am loves the idea, and at the same time, I feel it's completely incongruous with the early 20th century person that Tolkien was. The Amazon series will in all likelihood be delving into the mindset "What would Tolkien's world look like if it had been written in the 21st century", and I'm fine with that, and with Celebrimbor being in love with Narvi. I'm actually finding myself exploring a lot of inter-people relationships in D&D. My next session will encounter a half-elf-ling. XD Mother was an elf, father was a halfling. =D She's 4'2 and a feisty little thing.

Jenny, these are lovely, as always! However, these images remind me -- I ran into a theory regarding the famous makers of the Doors of Durin: the idea that Narvi was actually a female Dwarf, and she and Celebrimbor were a couple. It adds an interesting dimension to their working together (although it will likely be blown out of the water by most readers!) :)
