Hmmm, on second thought... Folktember suggestions?
Added 2022-08-28 08:33:08 +0000 UTCI've been looking at the prompt list for Folktember (by _jessicadonnellyart_ on Instagram), and found I had to google half the creatures, and some I know I don't really feel.
The prompts are: The Seelie Queen - Dragon - Loch Ness monster - Pixie - Pooka - Leshy - Stone Circle
I definitely want to do the Pooka and the Seelie Queen is on the way, but the others don't really jump at me. So instead of either forcing myself through a chore or breaking off midway through, let me tap you lovely people for inspiration! What folk tale figures, local mythic creatures etc can you think of?
I'm feeling whimsical/pretty/cuddly if that helps. =D I'm hoping to do five to six images all in all, so I'm looking for four more suggestions that really make me want to draw them. Also, possibly bonus points for German creatures/folk tale characters. I was thinking of Regentrude and Schimmelreiter. Not too wild about Rübezahl, Heinzelmännchen or Wolpertinger.
A jackalope would be an idea... Feel free to give me stuff from mythologies I'm not too familiar with, but in that case, let me know what they are and why they appeal to you! <3
