Need suggestions for colourful non-humanoid things!

I'm spending my time watching Critical Role Pub Draw videos, and holy s***, are they inspiring! There's one where Babs Tarr and Matt do an oil painting of a Tortle character, and I want to do Procreate oils now, haha. I'm smart enough not to attempt anything humanoid while I'm in bed and my sinuses are clogged up, but who's got an idea for some richly coloured critter? My brain only comes up with fish. Something pretty and colourful and maybe cute while I'm trying to deal with this new thing 2023 is throwing my way. ๐ฅด๐คง๐ท

2023-03-14 18:53:03 +0000 UTCI used to have bettas! They have a much worse rap in Germany as their name translates to "fighting fish", mine was called Heinrich and he was formidable. But I didn't know they should not have company then.
