You Will Be Warm Again

I'm sure there's a dozen other smarter, more poignant statements about the election out there.
But, I've been lucky enough to have all of you in my life, to have given me this platform, so, it's my responsibility to try and give you at least a little bit of hope.
Things are going to get worse before they get better. We know that.
It's not fair, and it's not right, for any of us.
But I need you to do me a favor.
I need you to hang in there.
Please.
Today's gonna be hard, tomorrow is going to be harder.
We're all tired of fighting, I know, believe me, I know...
My God we're all tired.
But we need to hang in there anyways.
Because it's the only way we get to be happy again, and you have a right to be happy.
I'm not saying don't be sad, BE sad, cry, scream, do whatever you need to, I know I will.
But please, please don't give up.
Live.
Live to see the sun rise, that pink and orange canvas in the sky.
Live to hug a really cute plushie.
Live to taste a nice, warm meal.
Live to see your favorite person smile, and hear their laugh.
Live for the little things, the Little Victories.
They say the best revenge is a life well lived.
Spite is a very valid motivator.
Live in spite of those who would see you undone just for who you are.
Live to see a day where we don't have to live in fear anymore.
Live to see a day without bigotry, ignorance, and hate.
We will never go back. Show them we're here to stay.
Every single one of you deserves to live, and to be happy. We will all fight for that. Always.
Be kind to each other. Be kind to yourself.
You're going to be amazing.
And you're going to be warm again.

Fight for your rights and if the feds come for them do your best to (legally) fight back. I love you all. We've dealt with this bullshit before and we can do it again.
