Dandadan project starts! Animated Storyboard + WIP

Salutation, my brave spicy soldiers!

It is with great pleasure (and a bit of delay) that I officially announce the start of the Dandadan project! In truth, this mission has been underway for several weeks now—right after launching the position poll, I immediately charged ahead with the next steps!

First step: The script

With the invaluable support of the newly formed Tier 3 (SPECIAL VIP LEWD ACCESS), We’ve crafted a script that’s just as spicy as usual but (hopefully) just as wild and over-the-top as the original series!

The storyboard

From there, I shaped it into a storyboard, then refined it into an animated storyboard, the true skeletal framework of the final video (which you can access at the start of this post). I hope it stirs up all sorts of emotions in you… 😏

Yes, I know, that ending probably left you hungry for more… Depending on how fast production moves, I’m considering splitting this project into two parts. Nothing is set in stone yet, but in any case, I chose to stop the storyboard here so I could dive into animation. And, of course, to leave you wanting more…

A new workflow

With the first part of the storyboard locked in and satisfying my battle plan, I moved on to animating the first key shots!
You may notice that these shots look more like something straight out of a proper animation studio. (in which case, well thank you 😎) That’s no coincidence—I’ve decided to professionalize and optimize my workflow to work faster, more efficiently, and with a larger team.
If all goes well and I maintain a steady pace, I might even be able to launch multiple projects simultaneously, much like Maplestar, for example.

But enough talking! Here are some of the first animated shots, completed on my end and now ready for my team to finalize:

🔺 A relatively simple one to warm up and adapt to this new workflow, both for me and my assistants. It already looks great without too much effort—perfect for a starting point!

🔺 This shot took me two full days! While not technically complex, the sheer amount of details made it time-consuming. Okarun’s glasses falling off cracks me up every time!
