My work in progress comic: Starker.

Finally i can talk about my current work.
Since the first days of September i was chosen to do the drawings for a new comics series to be published in Italy and then translated in english.
Its name is "Starker" and it's written by Tito Faraci, one of the most famous comics writer in Italy. He writes comics for the most popular italian comics series and it's a honour for me to work with him. It's very shocking to think that a person you appreciate so much could be your work mate another day!

Coming back to our comic, Starker is an hard boiled comic with anthropomorphic animals, not a furry comic though; it's more like a comic made with the supporting characters in Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck stories: dogs with a big black nose mainly... or sexy pussycats. Tito Faraci is also a Disney comics writer and he wanted to go beyond the limitations imposed by the Walt Disney Company: no violence, no sex, etc.

Without doubts, this is the most important work i've ever had in my career and it means a lot to me, because of the eminent collaboration with such a great writer like Tito, for the lenght of work (the first wave will be about 120 pages) and because part of my childhood's dreams became true: i'm not working for the Disney Company, but it's something very near!

I hope you can read Starker in some months. It's going to be published online on YEP Comics, a multilanguage comics reader (it works like Netflix, there's an annual subscription, 18€ for a growing catalogue of italian comics), then when there will be a good amount of published pages, there will be the hard cover comic book (in italian but i knew that the publisher is working to the english translation to be printed as well).

I'm very happy of this new adventure and i hope you will enjoy Starker as i'm enjoying makig it! More news very soon!
