When I first learned that Peach’s wedding gown and veil were unlockables in Super Mario Odyssey, the last thing I expected was for it to be one of Mario’s costumes. Sure, it was the most obvious choice, but my pie in the sky dreams were for a mode with a playable Peach. At the very least, I was hoping that Peach would have access to Mario’s costumes. But I didn’t get that. Instead, and I’m not complaining here, I got the second Nintendo flagship franchise entry in a row to feature the main character in drag. And just like last time, I took it one step further.

Yep. Mario can wear the dress and veil in-game, though he retains his mustache and maleness.
