I Saw Endgame This Morning

I think I wanted more since I gave it the unfortunate weight of 'this is the finale to a 20+ movie franchise storyarc' I think I wanted more of the final third with the big battle with Thanos rather than 2/3s being about getting the band back together and going the goof route with a playing of 'where are they now'. That said, I 100% agree that the Howard Stark, Agent Carter, and Swinton scenes were very excellent. And honestly, it all picked up when Ant Man came back (I think he's my favorite now lol)

The Dark World scene with Thor and Freiga was beautiful, I kinda think Cap with Mjolnir was my favorite part, I was just hoping to see more of Spidey and some if the vanished.

It felt slower than I expected, but I felt was a good conclusion. I was pleasantly surprised to see certain minor characters return, like Howard Stark and Bald Tilda Swinton. (Her scene made me make the above face.)

Joe Haley

I really expected to see more team-ups as they were in the aftermath of Infinity War. Tony and Nebula on the ship at the beginning was a nice moment. I didn't expect the time skip, but the time heist where everyone warps back to the MCU's Greatest Hits (and Thor: Dark World) was fun.

There was bound to be some level of reset button shenanigans. I mean, they "killed" Spider-Man with a sequel already announced and Black Panther after he made a billion dollars. I was worried we'd get a resolution that means death no longer means anything. I think they made the best of it, though. They explained away the whole "can't we kill Baby Thanos" thing, and still had to work for it to some extent.

I saw it Sunday, I liked it. I think I liked Infinity War better but I really enjoyed the massive battle.

Dennis Wiles

I felt my excitement deflate the second they introduced time travel into the plot. A writer hitting the reset button after he's allowed the bad guys to f*** things up to an insane extent is one of the worst all-time narrative cop-outs, IMO.

Ben Winfield

I liked it but I wasn’t really... impressed?
