Bookworm Sachi (preliminary sketch)
Added 2021-09-13 12:12:38 +0000 UTCI’m busy, so it’s gonna be a drawn out process week, kids! This is a sketch for Jutsei, one of my longtime DeviantArt commenters. They gave me a couple commission ideas, one of which was the ol’ “have Winifred transform an OC with her evil magic scroll.” Sometimes, people have a specific monster idea, and sometimes they leave it up to me.
This time it was left up to me, so I read up on the OC in question, Sachi. She is a young girl with fiction powers, meaning she can summon things from or insert herself into any work of fiction. So what better way to flip that than by becoming a literal bookworm? I know literal bookworms are not worms at all but instead are a common term for different kinds of burrowing larvae, but work with me.
The tricky part is working out costuming forms worm. It’s the “how would a horse wear pants” conundrum. So here I have the skirt attempting to cover the entire worm body, a technique I will abandon by tomorrow’s post.
