JOKE EXPLAINER: Jaclyn Smith was a co-star of Farrah Fawcett on the television program “Charlie’s Angels” (1976-1981). Gnome engaged in what we in the business call a “misdirect.” Farrah Fawcett (rhymes with faucet, hence this drawing) popularized a “flip” hairstyle in the late 70s, which Angela is sporting in the final panel.
