Inverse Time

Hafa Adai everyone,

It's been a busy day, and due to some local telecom issues my secondary internet (that lets me work on ero games at work) was out, leaving me with just my cell internet. In the end though it worked out, perhaps less distraction, but I was able to get a lot done. I also have several things in for this release that should help spice it up a bit beyond just the bare-bone necessities.

Good News:

I anticipate releasing on time, probably in about 18 hours.

Less-Good News:

For some reason I was confused on the date, and I was thinking that Friday was the 5th instead of the 6th. Thinking I had extra time, I spent more time today working on that extra stuff I mentioned, so it's not going to be an early release this time.

Extra Stuffs & Dreaded Bug of Doom:

One of the extra things I added was JavaScript that stringifies certain game state variables, and can load them from browser local storage. Unlike most twine games, Accidental Woman is now able to keep track of variables between starting new games. The picture above shows an example of some things that can be tracked with this ability. It'll also allow unlocks, which is something I wanted to add. Basically, if you get a certain attribute or trait in-game, it might let you start with that trait during character creation for your next character.

I've tracked down the dreaded looping bug, and made a temporary fix. It's being caused by inverse time values being sent to the chunker, but for the life of me I can't figure out how the inverse time is happening. I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow with fresh eyes, and see if I can't sort it out before the release.
