Personally, I'm more excited for a Female start. Maybe for a story explanation to fit the "accidental women" theme better and character creator you still get "experimented" (for lack of a better word XD) and that's how'll customise your character?

When it comes to transformation (character creation) and a new start in Appletree, there are plenty of other ways to do that without changing gender. If you're expecting this game to be entirely focused on FtM transformation, then you may be disappointed. for the male start that's certainly a major element of its unique primary story line, but there are other story lines. The game play itself is heavily focused on life sim elements, which isn't really affected by the story of how the simulation starts.
