EP3 is set to release on Friday, 18th of Oct!
So like previously, I'm making a devlog 2 weeks ahead of release :)
The party scenes were a lot of work so that honestly took up the most amount of time of the things I worked on. Anon's drunk, so his vision is swimming so I'm moving parts around the screen accordingly, and that's a lot of code :D
The party isn't free-roam as I first envisioned because hardware issues and time got to me, so I'm just presenting it as a normal string of events and scenes.
The party scene is also where I was kind of forced to upgrade my 'visual language' to be able to do as was needed.
More specifically, I worked a lot on how I present characters on screen, their expressions, and camera shots.
Basically it's got me going more into the movie director headspace.
I think I've progressed my skills quite a bit from those first couple of scenes in EP1 :)
So, I just finished the party scenes.
Now I've got a couple of short-to-medium scenes to complete before I can wrap up EP3 :)
I'm hunkering down and getting to work!
Quick rundown:
I evolved the style a bit (no, I won't be doing remasters), and my presentation even more.
There's a lot more choice in EP3. These affect the game both immediately and later on.
Made more music for EP3 which I quite enjoy :D
I've worked on none of the game systems further, but so far have focused solely on content this episode. (I'll work on systems if I get to finish the content early, because there are ideas to implement)
P.S. I managed to get the game onto the Steam Store, and I'll be making another post about that.
Have a great Sunday,
BCG
