I mean, a girl with giant boobs just caught him ogling a picture of another girl with giant boobs, but he’s not disturbed or embarrassed in the slightest. And he meets Mari’s gaze eye-to-eye, rather than ogling her boobs like the ones in his magazine. That’s some refreshingly high quality self-confidence and respect of boundaries that he’s displaying, there.

They have more than enough presence and personality to fuel the comic and drive conflict while maintaining suspense/mystery elements. Just a really great comic, and I can’t wait for more wonderful character defining moments like this one. Thanks a million to Belt for making this happen!
