And as for formalities or honorifics, not sure if it was mentioned already, but aside from the terms they're calling each other, the "hyung", it's their speech. SK has formal & casual language they use to speak. Casual speech is often used by older people to younger people. They can still call the older person as "hyung-older brother" or "noona-older sister" and still be casual with their speech. Which among the members, only Jin uses often with them. Grammar is simplier I think. Talking like friends. Formal speech is often used in business settings, with people u r not close with or meeting for the 1st time, more formal titles/honorifics, like when they're calling each other with "Mr.", w/c u will hear them say Jimin-ssi, Jin-ssi etc. -ssi sounds like "shi" ex. Jimin-shi. They can still call each other casually like "hyung/noona" but the grammar is formal, more respectful. Even tho they're close with each like friends, it works for they're group, they use mostly formal speech. I think that one is a factor how they maintain the respect within the group. Lol this came from one Korean teacher I watched who observed & analyzed how Bts speak with each other. And 1 thing he got shocked is how RM uses often a higher level of honorific speech with Jin. He calls him often as "hyungnim" w/c is a more respectful term than "hyung". That's why sometimes when Jin teases the younger ones, he asks them to call him "hyungnim".

2024-03-07 06:41:10 +0000 UTCBinge watching ITS with u! :) Just wanted to comment, as many have mentioned, yes in the early years of Bangtan, V & Jk were partners in crime, troublemakers & pranksters. But ofc as they grow older they've matured, especially V, people commenting he changed & he's not happy anymore with the group, etc. Yes, he had a time he was depressed due to series of unfortunate things happened in his life (his grandparents passing) then Covid, he just became a bit reserved with his actions & not that loud anymore, but he is still the same mischievous V people loved. That's why he has a song Inner Child lol. It's just now he is more aware of his environment & their popularity grew, so he just became more cautious, I think? 1 communication expert & psychologist I watched have observed the same thing. V still has the most inner child in himself. In my observation & opinion, he's become more careful with his words bc many of his solo fans tend to twist them mostly opposite of what he is saying. Altho it happens with all of them but I think more with V bc I think he has more solo fans that wanted him to leave the grp & just go solo. Same with Jimin. Every member has different dynamics with one another like in the beginning when u started watching ITS, u didn't know how close Suga & Jin were. They were ex rommies & eternal soulmates lol. Many ppl were surprised with that & didn't think they had a lot in common. And I somehow disgaree & agree with the other comments saying Jk is most closest to Jimin. Maybe yes, he is close to Jimin bc they play a lot, along with Jin. These trio, have a diff bond honestly. They're more siblings. Those three in the beginning were the drinking buddies after Jk turned legal age lol but Jk to Jin, I think Jin really treats Jk as his family. More than the other members. Vice versa. Jk loves all his older members but Jin is family. Like when Jin mentioned Jk in his Suchwita ep along with his family members. Lol. Maybe u could watch videos showing their different dynamics with diff members! 😁

2024-03-07 06:11:32 +0000 UTCas for honorifics we don't really have any in my culture... it was such a culture shock for me when I lived in the US for a year and went to high school there and the students called the teachers "ma'am" or "ms."/"mr." cause in my country we call teachers by their first names cause it's more mutual respect... we only really have to show respect to the royal family but they're pretty casual as well so tbh I don't think it would be very different to talking to other random ppl

There was a time where some of them stoped to follow comments and feedbacks becasue afraid to read haters comments and get frustrated or angry because of them, but I think now with weverse and the fact that they said they don't care anymore about haters, they have a safe place where to follow what ARMY talk about. Some of them more than others seems always aware of even small things we talk about in the fandom and it happens that they talk about that in their lives. They're always watching us ahahah

2022-09-06 18:54:37 +0000 UTCTo replay your question, yes, even just a year of difference in Korea make the younger person feel a barrier between them because even if you get close to that person it's really rare that the younger one drop honorifics as V asked to do from their first meeting. He said that he gave Jungkook permission to call him as a friend, and "friend" in korea is the term used for people of same age, even if they just meet: if they found out they're born same year they say "let's call eachother chingu (friends)". So V asking JK to call him friend instead of hyung (term used for older people than you) is not something common and JK refused because it would be very unpolite but also strange and awkward to do so. Even now that they know for a long time he use hyung because is more confortable for a korean to use the proper honorifix, no metter how close you are with that person, is just the proper way to address that person and doesn't mean they're not close, but it imply that jk has to be respectfull, even if they have just a year of difference in age. V is really different, he's more free spirit then JK so he don't find awkward to ask younger people to treat him as a same age person. But not many koreans would accept to do that and just replay as jk did, saying he could never do that to a older person. I don't know any koreans with different age that talk eachother as friends. For us formal speech is something to use with people we don't know or we work with, but in Korea is just normal to do so, and strange to change the way to address a person based on how close you get. They mostly follow their age difference for most of the cases

I thought I was the only one that noticed that this specific person is constantly mentioning how they love jikook under every single video without fail and shoving the ship down wes and steph's throats all the time. Nothing wrong with one commenting how fond they are about two members' friendship but mentioning it 50 times for months is over-doing, it's clear what their intentions are. All that person ever talks about is ship dynamics and begging the couple to acknowledge their ship, it's so weird.

I really don't like half the fandom's attitude towards taekook's bond, always comes off hypocritical. I've seen people twist their words and say those two don't like each other anymore or that they are the least closest and making all the members' friendship dynamics into a competition and are obsessed with it.

Its so sad. I think Tae is actually closest to Hobi, and he really needed that trip out with him after that talk to clear his mind. The next episode is my favourite episode, but espeically the behind the scenes of the next episode. Hopefully before you move on to something else you will watch all of the behind the scenes for each episodes, you could do it all in 1 video please!

The taste is totally different. Kimbap can include rice, meat, eggs, vegetables and pickled radish - talky whatever you want. I make it weekly, but often make folded kimbap because it's faster to make. It's pretty much a staple snack in Korea.

But as v matured, he becomes very calm and quiet + jungkook is naturally shy. I think this is why they became a little awkward when having heart to heart conversation. Still, I think after Jimin, v is the closest to jungkook.

Also, this is one of my favorites episodes because of the bonding, Taehyung and Jungkook having a deep talk and reconnecting, Namjoon and Hobi hiking together and making gimpabs, Yoongi and Jin playing together and Jimin too after and the wood carving together too, and Hoseok and Taehyung driving out and eating burguers i love the bonding in this episode!!!

I dont think they take each other for granted as you may do when living with the same people forever. With V, he's mentioned issues with depression and for some you just close yourself off without realizing it. I think around this time he started feeling better
