No, they have not more harassment problem than us in western countries... But in japan they really take care of society problems, like suicide, loneliness, harassment... So they talk about it a lot. More than us. Example: they have the same suicide rate than in my country (France) but it's one of the most important topic, they have a loneliness ministry etc... Japan is treating those topic like "national problematic". So yes it makes you feel that this is worse than in our countries.

2024-12-16 17:34:17 +0000 UTCFrom what I've heard Japan has a serious bully problem in a bunch of schools. societally, like Korea, if you're being bullied or harassed then you must have done something to deserve it... Very big victim blaming societies.

2024-11-05 03:14:42 +0000 UTCsevere bullying definitely happens frequence depends on who is in the school both students and teachers two most severe cases I can recall was one in primary school one kid whateing outside school with a knife for another to get out and turned out similar things had happened for a while that was just the escalation the second was in high school one kid had his hoody set on fire luckily he got put out quickly from what i know they didn't mean to set the kid on fire they where just teasing with lighters just sparking not thinking about how deodorant is flammable in the primary school case it was because the head teacher teen the stance of if its not on school grounds its not our bisness she only changed her position on it when her daughter started to be bullied

2023-02-13 00:43:13 +0000 UTCThere was only one set of bullies. At the start of the story (when we first see Junpei in the cinema), he has already dropped out of school because of the bullying. He does not go back. The scenes of him being bullied are all flashbacks. And 7:3 isn’t an odd ratio if you think about it. It’s splitting 10 into 2 primes. Sounds pretty magical to me.
