BTS Grammy Behind The Scenes 2021 & 2022 Reaction

BTS Grammy Behind The Scenes 2021 & 2022 Reaction

Comments

I hope you watch more behind videos. There are lot of Behind videos of concerts and stuff on BTS episode. 🥹

Uka Uka

The 64th Grammys was such a moment in history, oh my god. They were robbed of their award again, but they had the last laugh because not only did they completely slay their performance and become the most talked about artist of the event, they also did concerts at the Allegiant Stadium with 50k people each night for 4 nights.... AND because the demand was so big, their concert was being livestreamed at the same time in a different venue - the MGM Grand Garden Arena, also the venue for the 64th Grammys 😆 So BTS basically said, "Oh you're not going to give us the award? Okay, we're just gonna fill your award venue with 22k people then. And those people aren't even there to see us live" 🤣

Alexis

can you guys please react to xCeleste on youtube but specifically her latest summary on the bts storyline that runs through the mvs from the beginning of the i need you mv. The summary really helps understand what goes on in the early to mid years of bts mvs and it just leaves you starstruck with the amount of thought, ambition and creativity that goes into the fictional storyline that goes through the music videos. i really recommend it. thank you!

Shenayaa Dass

btw, the guy, who's face is not blurred out is not their manager, it's Bang Pd. He was the CEO of big hit, now he's the chairman.

Maya

Ohhh this is a little different but you guys should react to xCeleste on YouTube, her video summarising the bts storyline and I promise a lot of mvs would make sense. 100% would recommend the wings era breakdown too. But yeah the storyline will blow your mind away and leave you awestruck at the creativity and intense storytelling!

Lattae

please react to their crosswalk concert at james corden! it was hilarious!!

nylecoj

You have to watch one of bts documentary like burn the stage or bring the soul to see their daily lives as idols and behind the scenes of stage

This year they are nominated for 3 categories... So we will see. Low low expectations for the Grammys tho. The academy has deceived us too many times, but fingers crossed.

AnnaAfc

Now you understand better why we were amazed and deceived that they dididn't win BEST PERFORMANCE. I work in the industry and I have never seen an artist put this much effort and creativity in what they do. Not to mention the syncronization and teamwork that they have

AnnaAfc

Hello guys ! I recommend the Behind the scene youtube series of BTS ! You can see raw footage of what they life as bts is like (even "fights") ^^

Leenseoh

you should watch the behind the scenes of HOBIPALOOZA <3

Daniela Miño

yes 152-153 were funny

June Hayre

Could you react to run bts episode 153 I'm sure you'll enjoy it

ems L

In the Butter practice video, you really see how Jimin is Hobi's second for dance leader. He steps up when Hobi isn't able to. He's usually beside Hobi monitoring as a second voice or someone to bounce performance ideas off of.

Marissa K

they are singing live

sara

hope you guys plan on doing the concert they did last year. it’s on Disney+ and has subtitles as well!

mikya

The behinds are so interesting to watch! I’m hoping you’ll watch Burn The Stage as the next series tbh though, if you liked the behind of the grammys then Burn The Stage is a must! It was the first series I watched as baby Army and it follows bts as they prepare and go on their biggest world tour (at that stage lol) in 2017. It shows the pressures they face on and off the stage, what they do when not performing, shows them as people and not megastars and just gives a great insight into how hard they work! A bts docuseries is a MUST for any ARMY at some stage!

Becky

you should watch the MAMA 2019 behind the scenes, they almost fainted

Da'Al

This whole experience when I watched the Grammys was such a trip. I was so nervous for them, disappointed when they didn't win in 2021 and then very annoyed that the Grammys moved BTS' performance to nearly the end of the show to keep viewers. Armys kind of have a bad taste in our mouths from the Grammys (AKA - Scammys). BTS is nominated for 3 grammys this time around and I'm so proud of them but am not putting my trust that Grammys will deliver. But still, it would be amazing and I'll keep hoping next years grammys will be the year.

Kaylie .

They still haven't won a Grammy. Lost to Gaga/Ariana "Rain on Me" the first year and Doja & SZA the second year. The Recording Academy picks the winners and the Academy is made up of about 12,000 voters. BTS are all members of the Academy and so is Bang PD. It's made up mostly of musical artists and industry professionals. The thing is, it's a very American crowd and a very traditional crowd. They're under no obligation to listen to all of the work they're voting on and they often are courted by a lot of artists (most big artists send huge, expensive care packages with info and ads for their nominated songs--lots of Academy members share the package contents and you can look them up on Youtube). So it's not surprising that a foreign group who is often put in a "kpop boy band" box by people who don't know them and can't be bothered to look into them hasn't won their votes yet especially over huge names. But they have 2 nominations this year--Pop Duo/Group with Coldplay for My Universe and Best Music Video for Yet To Come. They also have a nomination technically for Album of the Year. Coldplay's album is nominated and, for that category, the nomination goes to all credited performers, producers, and writers. BTS is a performer and RM, j-hope, and Suga are all credited as writers on the album (which makes our rapline Grammy-nominated Songwriters for Album of the Year). They would all get statuettes if Coldplay's album wins. Also, j-hope's Equal Sign has been submitted for consideration for Best Song for Social Change by one of the song's producers (Scoop Deville--a renowned PD who has worked with a lot of rap legends including Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, etc submitted the song). That award works more like a Blue Ribbon Prize. There are no nominees--all submissions are considered and one is selected for a Grammy. It has a really good chance and j-hope as the performer and co-writer would receive the award so fingers crossed!!

SNBangtan

🤦🏾 my bad. Thank you!

Infinite Ree

If you guys are amazed by this you have to watch their movies and series beacsue you see the behind the scenes of their concerts.💜

Mubashirah Sampson

Did I miss something? Did they react to the Grammy performances already? I can't find them anywhere 😕

Infinite Ree

Jungkook was not present as well. 2 out. Almost 3 if you count Jin.

Apple Bee

Hobi flew out the day he got cleared from Covid, so he flew almost 14 hourss, landed went to rehearsal, and the next was the Show. At tha time the worked on Jack in the Box too, and filmed MORE and had to film Arson later, because he got sick. Keep also in mind, that Hobi is their Dance Leader, and usually work with the Choreographers and overlooks the performance.

AstronautInTHEboX

For the 2021 Grammys it was the first time we had seen Yoongi dance during a performance since his shoulder surgery. He would only perform with bts on songs that didn’t have choreo because he was still recovering, but when army saw him dancing we were so happy for him that we were crying especially because he looked so happy being able to perform like that again. For 2022 Grammys, it was just a cluster of nerves for everyone! Around that time, the members were sick from Covid! When one person finally recovered another person would get sick and that lasted almost a whole month leading up to the Grammys. It was every stressful because we didn’t know who would be able to perform, which is why you don’t see them all together during practice and rehearsals.

I noticed Hobi’s trip and Jungkook’s stumble off the stairs the first time I watched 😂

ParkMinJeon

i didn't realize J-hope's trip on my first watch either! then i saw him mention it in their vlive, so i rewatched it and he tripped while going down stairs the crazy thing is, he could have fell on his face super hard, but he caught himself 😭 im so glad he didn't get hurt. also i feel the same as you guys, i felt bad that he was upset about it. but like yall said, he's as good as he is because he cares so much. im sure his dissapointment passed after some time thanks for another great reaction! so much work goes into the performance, and so much pressure! it makes me appreciate it more to see all the hard work they put in just to put on a good show :]

yoyo?

They were nominated for the same category both years, “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for Dynamite (2021) and Butter (2022) but unfortunately they didn’t win either. This year however, they’ve received 3 nominations so hopefully they’ll win their much deserved gold at the 2023 Grammys.

Sheema J

Yea watch more Bangtan Bombs. Reacting to their 2020 performances from Jimmy Fallon would be nice. The songs are idol, dynamite, black swan, home, and mikrocosmos. You will not be disappointed.

Kearyce Moore

Steph , don’t forget Hobi’s role is Dance Leader

ParkMinJeon

For the Butter practice Jhope and later Jungkook were missing a lot because they had Covid :(. But we got some iconic insta q&a sessions with Jungkook because of it haha. The grammys were half a year before Hobipalooza

Lela

Hey Wes and Steph 💜, Christmas is coming... So if you would like to have some BTS Content related to the Christmas Time... How about BTS performing Christmas Carols at SBS Gayo Daejon Music Festival https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D09aWA_lhG4 I mean... Suga dancing with a candy cane... BTS making a littles girl smile... You can't say no. It's amazing. I hope you check it out. Lots of love from Germany and I guess in your country happy Thanksgiving 🦃.

Jane Ling

There is a recording academy committee that decides the nominees and winners. All by their vote. The committee is made up of other artists, producers, musicians and CEO's of the industry. It's why so many see it as a corrupt system as many can be "bribed" to vote in certain ways.

Marissa K

I know it's probably just autocorrect but "isn't he soop" took me out hahahaha

Lela

Hey guys! Are you starting the others seasons of Bon Voyage? And isn’t he soop 2?

Ana Luísa Cordeiro Santos

ahaha if you're now getting into BTS Episodes and maybe Bangtan Bombs too you definitely have enough to watch for YEARS :D I've actually hoped you might react to Map of the Song - their Karaoke session from FESTA 2020 - for a while now! So I'm happy to see you branch out even more :)
